Aurora had a significant presence at Xstrata Zinc's Brunswick mine for many years. Since the acquisition of Aurora, the Cementation group has carried out mine development and mine rehabilitation work.  The current mine development program includes decline and level development, longhole drilling for ground support and construction.  Excavation through backfilled stopes requires diligent ground conditioning practices. Much of the environment is subject to hot working conditions due to high sulphide concentrations.
