JOB TITLE: Equipment Coordinator

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The Equipment Coordinator reports to the Equipment manager and provides professional assistance to the team, including the tracking of equipment, maintenance of records and correspondence with sites and suppliers. General Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provide clerical assistance to Equipment Manager;
  • Collect and compile data from operations;
  • Create and issue reports from the data gathered as required;
  • Maintain records of equipment whereabouts and transfers;
  • Update and issue monthly internal rental information;
  • Maintain records of equipment purchases;
  • Maintain records of equipment specifications and other information;
  • Maintain records of capital budgets and capital costs versus internal rental revenue;
  • Maintain records of overhaul budgets and costs;
  • Gather information from suppliers as needed;
  • Assist with administration of special projects;
  • Maintain a record of invoices issued by month;
  • Enter project quantities into company systems;
  • Review job expenses to ensure the proper coding has been used and adjust if necessary;
  • Maintain regular communication link with project personnel and client representatives;
  • Elevate project issues to appropriate levels on a timely basis;
  • Maintain project budgets;
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Relevant post-secondary diploma and/or degree.

Experience: Knowledge of JD Edwards accounting software and two years of experience in equipment analysis or related analysis activities.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

  • Advanced knowledge of the following software: JD Edwards, Outlook, Excel & Word;
  • Must be well organized;
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills in order to be able to build relationships with clients and site personnel;
  • Advanced keyboarding skills and accuracy with attention to detail;
  • A basic understanding of mining and/or equipment terminology would be considered an asset;
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software;
  • Easily adapts to change.
