#9 and #10 Shaft Project

The Resolution project operated by Resolution Copper Mining and owned by Rio Tinto, is located just outside of Phoenix, Arizona. The project scope of work includes the rehabilitation and additional development of the existing Neversweat Tunnel which accesses the shafts at approximately 1000 feet below surface.

The shaft sinking scope involves piloting and slashing No. 10 shaft from surface to the Neversweat, then sinking blind to the final depth of over 6000 feet. The existing No. 9 shaft will be rehabilitated and dewatered and will eventually be extended as a part of the mine's permanent ventilation system.
